BSNL 40G Internet Speed Coming Soon with 15 City Project

BSNL, the only PSU in telecom sector again proved to be the benchmark setter by offering its service on quality rather than the count of connections. BSNL Bengaluru customers are going to see the first MNG PAN (MPLS-TP based Next Generation Packet Aggregation Network) ring topology in the city. This new network is going to boost internet speeds of the connected customers up to a maximum of 40G speed.

With BSNL MNG PAN (MPLS-TP based Next Generation Packet Aggregation Network) ring topology. The backbone network of BSNL broadband capacity is going to scale up to 20G to 40G from existing 10G using Optical Fiber communication links.

Along with Karnataka telecom circle, BSNL is also upgrading its backbone network among 15 other cities including Chennai, Hyderabad, Ernakulam, Ahmedabad and others.

If you check the counts of BSNL connection types of Karnataka, 12 lakh landline, 4.4 lakh broadband and 70 lakh mobile connections, 18,250 leased lines, and 38,300 FTTH (Fiber to the home) connections. Shri N.K. Gupta, Director (CFA) of BSNL expressed that customers were not satisfied with 3G as it not aiding digitization or even cashless transactions.

Without 4G, with fiber technology BSNL is going to be offer high speeds with BSNL MNG PAN Rings. BSNL is going have 65 such rings throughout the country”. So in coming months before the end of this financial Bengaluru customers may taste up to 40G internet speed.
