BSNL, the only state owned telecom company is going to launch 4G services, which is on testing, and this is going to be the new game changer in telecom industry. We are hearing 2G, 3G, 3.5G and now its 4G, for information G implies Generation and numbers implies their sequence of evolution. The sequence mostly implied for its speed carrying capability and supported by multi tasking features.
2G can go upto 14.4 kbps, In 2G both voice and data can go with in same channel. In 3G technology speeds may touch up to 3.1Mbps and supports video calling, video streaming etc., In 3.5G speeds may touch up to 14.4 Mbps, Coming to todays topic of 4G, this may offer the speeds up to 100 to 300 Mbps, 4G may even support HD content also.
Now every telecom service provider are in the news with one and only one topic, that is launch of their 4G services. Coming to BSNL, it is also joining the 4G bandwagon along with Vodafone, Airtel, Reliance Jio and Aircel. All the service providers are ready with their infra in place.
As per the report of teleanalysis, Shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD, BSNL informs that “The eco system for 2.6 GHz is developing fast and soon BSNL plans to launch 4G services in Chandigarh and Jaipur, where conducting 4G proof of concept (PoC) in Indore and Lucknow with Gemini Communications as the system integrator in these cities and BSNL is planning to deploy 4G services once BSNL 4G proof of concept is successful in Indore and Lucknow.
Further more BSNL operating profit is into positive sides. BSNL top management is very much interested towards profits, that is the reason there are many changes and are working towards the profit of the company. Say whether it can be free land line calling, free roaming , WiFi Hotspots etc..
BSNL is gearing up to give head on with other international service providers with latest technology advancements in its cockpit. BSNL lost its portion of voice segment because of of its delays in technology adoption and also in procurements during 2006 to 2012 (crucial 6 years). Now BSNL is betting big on Data consumption. if you check the data consumed in 2013 is more or less "60 to 70 TB", but now the data consumption from BSNL is about 250 TB.
Along with 4G services, BSNL is also going to increase its data subscription base and also wants to cater high speed data requirements at low prices, and this may possible with newly launched 5G based BSNL WiFi hotspot data speeds which are going to touch the new peaks. So that we can expect BSNL to be in the top carts with all latest tariff plans in one place with new launch of high speed BSNL 4G which is on testing and to be the next game changer in Indian Telecom Industry.
