Just after the taking over as a Prime Minister, Shri Modiji is much more concerned about digitization of Indian governance system. He is very much in to technology, more or less we can address him as ePM. He is pushing the Digital India Project as a top priority project. If this comes to live there will be duplex of information across the government and public will be hassle free. The top man can address the bottom most issue if e-governance comes in to existence, i.e. Digital India.
BSNL can have multiple layers of benefit. On the first hand BSNL is laying NOFN across the country which is going to be used for Digital India. This NOFN is going to connect 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats by 2016. This NOFN is going to be used for e-governance on the first hand. Later the same infra can be used for Digital Locker, e-education and e-health etc.
We all in general opt for online free services to store our critical data like mark sheets copy, PAN card copy, AADHAR card copy, Passport copy and all our important personal documents, but if we are having the same service available from the government itself as a Digital Locker, we all are ready to avail. For the same requirement under Digital India Project we are going to have Digital Locker facility.
If the quality content is available to them, definitely it will be useful for the student and also for the country. People as leaders comes from a problem borne areas will work at root cause, rather working on suggestion based. This only comes when quality education is available for all. This can be happen with the Digital India project.
In e-Health line, right from the registration till dispensing of medicines, we can have a digital solution in all government hospitals. In general digitization will reduce redundant manual activity for any organization, being taken up by the central government, most of the top level government hospital services are going to be available to the remotest areas. On the first hand the remotest area should have the internet connectivity, which is going to be covered under Digital India project.
Participation of BSNL in Digital India is really appreciable option as it has the infra across PAN India, with which it is reaching all set goals with priorities for the project. When this project is fully functional, people across India will come to understand the power of Internet and what are all the benefits to the rural people are.
New data customer era will start for BSNL, and BSNL doesn’t want to lose this by any chance.
