You can do BSNL broadband plan change online from anywhere on any device i.e. Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, Smartphone, etc. For this, BSNL broadband customer has just to log in to BSNL portal and follow the below instructions.

New deposits/charges if any, according to with new plans will be levied in next coming telephone bill. So that, you can pay this with BSNL online bill payment or directly at BSNL cash counters.

This BSNL broadband plan change online facility will be available for all broadband customers in all BSNL circles across India. For that, BSNL customer has a just log into the respective self-care portal of their concerned zone. Register as the new user at BSNL Portal by filling the details (not required for already register user). Follow the simple steps as mentioned below for plan migration to avail new benefits.

  • Login to BSNL self-care portal using with the registered username and password on any of your browser.
  • Broadband Plan Change Online Login
  • Click on Service (left side at the top of the page).
  • BSNL Customer Care Portal Plan Change
  • Click on Submit a Service Request in My Services.
  • BSNL Broadband Plan Change Request
  • Then My Service Requests Page will open with many options.
  • Select your Service Id from the drop down menu display.
  • After selecting Service ID, a small new window with Landline Account No will open.
  • Click OK to confirm, and then the address details will be displayed.
  • Select Request Sub Type as Change of Broadband Plan.

  • Your existing broadband plan details will be displayed.
  • Select New Broadband Plan.
  • BSNL New Broadband Plan
  • Select any plan, which you required to migrate from the list of available programs shown. If your required broadband plan is not displayed. Select another page number available at the right side to find your best plan.

  • After giving relevant data at BSNL broadband plan change online portal, click on Submit.
  • Online Plan Change Request Submission
After completion of these above simple steps, you will give a service request number. On next working day, BSNL official will contact you over the mobile phone number, which you have already provided. It is just for your confirmation about your BSNL broadband plan change online. Then after your confirmation, your new tariff plan will get completed to enjoy the new benefits.

  1. Only if BSNL staff are efficient enough to understand this system.

    I made a request 10days back and it remained open in the system. Only after reaching the exchange and making a written request, plan change happened.

  4. I got message from BSNL about new plans. But i am not able to find that plan in the broadband plans list when i tied to change that plan via BSNL CDR customer portal.

    1. You might want to check the email address you provided while registering. There you will find the FIRST mail sent to you by BSNL after registration completed (search your mailbox for "BSNL"). It containms your user ID and the defsult password provided by BSNL.

    2. call 1500 from ur landline number.....ask for the user id from the customer executive..they ll reset the userid and password if u gave correct information to them...

  11. Guys, I am relatively old customer of BSNL. BSNL is not ready yet for this kind of 'online only' service model. Staff is ageing and not tech savvy at all. What works is personal visit and talking to their staff. Just visit their exchange office, there is a short form to fill up that hardly takes 5 minutes and saves all the heart burn issues expressed in this forum..Do not waste time trying to switch plans online.

    2. I personally went there it is no use... very slack job done, WE filled a form and bsnl is charging us the money for the new 8 mb/s pack but the internet speed is never above 400 kb/s. Very disappointed and the internet portal is nothing more than a joke.

  13. I raised a request for broadband plan change on 21st May and even after multiple calls to customer care, nothing happened. I went to the Customer service center today and gave a written request. The lady said that the plan change will be done by evening.

    Online request doesn't work. The status shows open, but none of the guys from customer care were able to view the service request.

    1. Update: Plan change was done today. I can see the new plan in customer care portal.
      The request I gave initially via customer care portal is still in open status :)

      Do not rely on the portal. Just visit the customer service center and drop a request.

  15. I submitted a request for change of broadband plan through portal on 25 the may2015. No action is taken till now. If they don't answer the online queries, then what is the use of this portal. They want us to personally submit requests, which is not possible for us on working days.

  16. BSNL is very pathetic in working in these modern systems. I called my friends to understand whatis this feature called BSNL selfcare. is it really attended and the requests logged is delegated propperly. I found the BSNL self care is not integrated propperly. Your compliants are not seriously attended. this does not send any NOTIFICATION to any body at leader level. You still have to run to the local office. BSNL is pathetic in customer service

  17. Before a month I received a message from BSNL to forward a message requesting for a landline connection. It was stated that executive will contact me. But sorry to say that till date nobody has contacted me. At the same time no proper reply from BSNL officials. It seems all are in hibernation because they get salary. They are granted job safety. Nobody cares.

  19. i m using selcare.wdc.bsnl.co.in and wanted to change my broadband plan. but it is not showing plan less than 1000 rs. i called many times on 1500 n 1504 but they disconnect my calls every time..worst services of bsnl.

  20. Dear all, selfcare is working perfectly for self and have been using it online to change my BB plans for nearly 2 years. Since the webpage is little outdated, require little patience to search the plans and make changes.

    1. If you click on the "New broadband plan" dropdown menu, a new window will appear. In upper right corner of that new window you can see a small right arrow mark, click on that, you can see BB plan ULD 1091 CS70.

    I m form mp.
    I used the above url.
    on clicking on "Change broadband tarrif plan" under service provisions.
    I gor the form but on oprning the list to select broadband plan. it was showing only 2 plans which I dont think are real. and the customer care told me about the plans of cost 545 and 650 which were not in the list.
    What should I do now. why have u created the portal when u compel the user to reach the exchange to provide the services???????

  24. Pathetic service from BSNL. I submitted a request for change of broadband plan through portal on 09/10/2015. No action taken till now. Also the customer care executives are shit heads. They want us to personally submit requests, which is not possible for us on working days. Service request details below:

  25. My broadbandqaq plan is combo 675/-;but,in the bill for Jan,16,they have billed for Rs.699/-.The change in the amount of plan if any, has not been notified to the customers or mentioned in the chart of plans published in the web by bsnl.BSNL
    is fooling the public.I mailed to the concerned authority about the discrepancy,but
    no reply yet.BSNL chennai is cheating on its customers.It should be dismantled.

  31. Really pathetic to know that the users are smarter than the service providers.... we know how to log on and submit a request, but bsnl employees know nothing of it.
    what is very sorry is that even after so many grievances on this portal the authorities are as lame as its employees

  33. It is painful to observe poor service of BSNL with the extreme negative approach. The self-care portal does not work and functions as per web guidelines. Alas the most calculated steps of the Govt are going waste because of the inefficiency of BSNL staff creation of self-care portal is to facilitate customers for online changes in tariff plan and much much more.

    But it does not work, and official insist on visiting Babu's creation of call centres for BSNL. These are facilitated the BSNL officers not to respond to calls of Public. The ministry needs to inspect at their own level posing as ordinary consumers from unpopular numbers
