    3. 50% reduced discount rates are a shame, they are a slap on the face of hard working, honest government employee / citizen.

humans have 876,581 hours of life. (24/day * 100 years)
219145 hours learning to work. (25 years * 24 hours.).
post independence government public education system is pathetic.
Then he works 219,145 hours (25 years *24 hours), in this 99000 hour are physical and mental labor dedicated to the government.
hours left to live 438,291/- 50*24
21914 will go in post retirement and rest 21915 will go in medical institutions.
now in this post retirement, post Independence government should have increased discount from 20% to 50% they have chose to do the opposite.
after 10% inflation MoM 120% YoY, 1200% in 10 years
      5% / year rupee deprecation 50% in 10 years
Now discounts are reduced by 50% how should a retiree live his remaining life(438291 hours).hard working, honest government employee / citizen give most of their life to the government than to their own kids.

  2. Bsnl try to un popular among customers. Indirectly help other service providers increase their business by leaving bsnl connections. Govt employees discount reduced from 20 pc to 10 pc.

    1. BSNL has reduced the discount from 20% to 10% wef 1st October 2013; and now as per the news published in ToI recently,Telecom Ministry is planning to issue the circular making it mandatory for all officers of PSUs and Babus in Govt. service to surrender the phones/ broadband connections of private service providers and take only the BSNL connections - most probably to increase the revenue of the BSNL. It seems that Govt. has no new innovative ideas to increase the revenue, rather this back stabbing tricks being applied on the existing subscribers.

  3. I am suspecting that BSNL tries to reduce their connections through these actions or helping pvt providers.

  4. All private companies are reduce the rates and giving good offers to all but BSNL is existing 20% to 10% to govt employee/ retired employees how shame its... i think BSNL is slapping to govt employee/ retired employees... if BSNL do this kind of things every one left BSNL there is no doubt

  5. I think bsnl make the plan to discontinue landline services in future starting with free calls only in bsnl network and now 50% less discount..i think we will see bsnl landline service ln history like india post "taar" services......

  6. It appears that BSNL policy makers are in collusion with private service providers' marketing promotion plans. The discount reduction is a step glaring enough to understand that BSNL broadband postpaid connections to govt. employees would be sacrificed in favour of private service providers

  7. Instead of provided loyalty benefits 50% reduction in the existing discount applicable to the customers is not good for BSNL. On top of it I'm facing connectivity issue very often these days and there is a " so what " attitude from BSNL because anyway they get their money at the end of the day.

  8. This reduction of fixed monthly charges discount from the existing 20% to 10%, for Serving and Retired Central / State Government and PSU Employees under DSL scheme without any intimation in advance is arbitrary in nature, not at all user friendly. The above activity of the Bsnl clearly reveals that it is neither transparent nor value the importance of existing users. In this competitive scenario the BSNL management may review over this activity to retain its clientèle.

  9. Having BSNLmobile connection on hand no use at all!!!! within one km distance call drops atleast three times,BSNL says its safe to reduce radiation?there are so many things here effecting huge RADIATION.Already BSNL officers using Airtel,Vodafone, like connections for "Relaiability"during call. Then how they will stick on thereown BSNL?as per Telecom Ministry circular to rescue from loss!!!!90% of the Indian Tax Revenue collections are from Central/State Govt employees,Still psu's like BSNL cutting the privileges.Fate on common man!!!!

  10. Not a prudent move by BSNL to reduce the discount for its core customers.

  11. BSNL should improve their service. Hardly there will be any Internet User in Jamshedpur who rely on BSNL Broadband service. Most often some employees put down servers causing non availability of Internet. You will see your broadband is connected but getting nothing. The phenomena is prominent on weekends, when you needs the connection most.
At least in Jamshedpur I know most of the BSNL broadband users has alternate Airtel/Vodafone/Reliance Dongle as and backup.
NOW BSNL want to unpopularise themselfs more.

  12. This move by BSNL top management will make a lot of government emplyees to leave BSNL and opt for other private operators. I have been using BSNL due to its low cost in spite of poor responce from its staff for various services. If the management takes away the attractive cost factor for BROADBAND definitely number of customers are going to leave this service.

  13. When BSNL introduced the offer they flood the media with advertisements. But when they discontinue or reduce privileges they do it silently. I got the inflated bill, then enquired and came to know that discount i reduced to 10%. Why not they inform in advance? I shoud have the right to terminate my connection before the new tariff came into force.

Similar things happened earlier when they made their free calls applicable to only BSNL network only. Being ignorant I continue to make calls from landline knowing there are 400 free calls but 90% of them are charged as hardly I had to make calls within BSNL network.

  14. BSNL has reduced the discount to Serving and Retired Central / State Government and PSU Employees by 50% and simultaneously increased the fixed charges of my plan from Rs.750/- PM to Rs. 800/- pm. without informing the customers. This will bring a bad name to the organisation and its top Ranks/ policy makers. A retired employ of Central Paramilitary Force like me who has served the nation for more than 35 yrs on the Borders of the Nation has been deceived by the BSNL's this act.
I once more request Top Ranks of BSNL to withdraw their decision and restore the old rates.

  18. Any Business concern will try to improve their business by enhancing the concessions and attracting more people. But the BSNL is now in a mood to demolish their business by withdrawing their previous attractive concessional plans and introducing more rigid ,aversive and repeal plans. This will not promote business but demote. I think BSNL is trying to disband and wrap up their concern and indirectly helping the other networks.
