  4. Hi,
I'm a resident of Bangalore and its been 6 months since I have changed my house. I had given a letter to my local Telephone exchange office requesting Transfer and Change of Address.
After 1 month, the phone line was shifted to my new house. But even now, the address has not been changed.
My BSNL bill is going to my old house, and this is a nuisance to the new residents.
Can you pls tell me how to get the Address changed. The local office is asking me to go to R.T.Nagar office and give a letter. Is this really necessary? Can it not be done through any other means?

When you say "it is necessary to submit the requisition at concerned BSNL office", do you advise me to go in person to the R.T.Nagar office?
Unfortunately, no one even picks up the phone in that office, for me to inquire about the working hours!

    4. Hi,
I'm a BSNL Landline and Broadband customer since many years. Now i shifted my house to a new place, and telephone exchange is different in new place. I have given a request for shifting my connection on 20 march 2013. The officials at new exchange told me that they don't have underground cable (5-pair); it’s about 65 meters distance to my place where new cable should be fixed, if I buy the cable from local market they will fix the line.
BSNL announces there is only Rs.300 for external shifting of Landline. Please consider my request and do necessary things as soon as possible.

      Thanks.

  25. Dear Subscribers,

Don't u think it is ridiculous on the part of BSNL to charge for just change in the name of the subscribers without shifting......In fact the subscriber does all the paper work like the affidavit and so onnnn...Just cant digest this......Better to disconnect the phone.....
