BSNL New Procedure for Acquisition of New Mobile Connection in a Simple Way

Every Mobile User can get New BSNL Mobile Connection at any BSNL POS with simple procedure...

PAN India 3G Mobile Service Operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) has issued the new procedure for acquisition of New Mobile Connection from 09-November-2012 as per new guidelines of DOT(Department of Telecom).

>> Applicant approaches to Point of Sale (POS) for new Mobile Connection along with following signed documents with date 
  1. Completed Customer Acquisition Form (CAF) having Unique Number 
  2. Photograph affixed on CAF 
  3. Proof of Identity (POI) 
  4. Proof of address (POA) 
  • Note 1: In case of outstation customers (out of LSA / State) details of local reference i.e. Name, address, and contact Phone Number of local referee shall also be given with proof. 
  • Note 2: In case of foreign tourist Passport with Valid VISA stamp shall be treated as proof of identity. For poof of address, the address of local reference which may also be the tour operator shall be taken. In case there is no local reference, the address of stay (Hotel etc.) shall be taken. Connection shall be given upto the validity of VISA period or 3 months which ever is less. 
  • Note 3: The connection issued to the personnel deployed on Ships while at sea shore shall have validity only till the date they have the permit to stay at the port. 
  • Note 4: In case of illiterate person, CAF may be filled by a person at the POS and the thumb impression of the applicant may be taken on CAF, photo and document attached.
>> The applicant should provide alternate mobile number at S.No. 18 in new CAF. 

>> The applicant shall be given receipt by POS with details of Mobile Number, CAF Number, POI, POA, issuing authority, date of issue and serial number of POI/POA with duly signed and stamp of POS. 

>> At the time of first activation, to allow the customer to make call to 1507 only, an automated SMS will be sent at his/ her alternative number (as mentioned at S. No. 18 in new CAF) prompting him to make call to 1507 for televerification. The text of SMS will be as follows “Dear Customer, Kindly Dial 1507 from your new SIM for televerification of new mobile number XXXXXXXXXX to complete the activation - BSNL”. 

>> Applicant shall call to BSNL call centre at 1507 for televerification. 6. In case the final activation does not take place within the same day, for want of call to 1507, second SMS, as a reminder, will be sent by BSNL Database next day.

This new procedure for acquisition of New Mobile Connection has been strictly implemented by BSNL according with new guidelines of DOT(Department of Telecom). New Application Form available

    1. For Port-in connections, 1507 is not required, after activation of SIM in BSNL, customer shall recharge the number as usual.

  10. I have bought a microsim for my tablet. Cant make calls from that and cannot put microsim into my mobile phone as microsim is not supported. I had given an alternate number in the CAF (vodafone no.) When I spoke to local BSNL office, they said to keep trying 1507 from vodafone cell. I have been doing that for half a day and it says "Pls check the number". What is the solution to this?

  13. I PORTED-IN MY NUMBER FROM AIRTEL TO BSNL AND RECEIVED A FRESH BSNL SIM SOME ONE MONTH AGO.     i am looking for new BSNL prepaid sim card for 3G internet(with BSNL yearly 3G plan). I have couple of queries some one please help answering.
    1.Which sim I have to chose? normal SIM or USIM? whether BSNL USIM available in the market?
    2. I went to some retail mobile shops at Bangalore but no one stocks BSNL SIM, where I can get it?
    3. I am planning to get lifetime prepaid sim and then recharge with DPV-1251 for 3G, is that fine for next one year or should I recharge MRC of Rs:200 every 6 months to retain SIM validity? (this SIM is only for 3G data, no voice call)
    4.I have bought a Huawei 3G datacard, whether the above 3G plan with BSNL SIM will work with this device? or should I get BSNL 3G datacard to avail above plan?

  23. hey....i've televerified my number and also did a first recharge but after recharge only my validity is till 12th month,no balance came,then g did a recharge of 55rs voucher and got 45rs talktime but no increase in validity!
    Also i need help here,how do i activate internet packs on my mobile? Do i have to recharge separately for every internet pack? Can't i do it through mobile....by sending any sms? Help!

  24. 1. If you recharge with Plan voucher(First recharge), you will get some freebies according to plan, but it will not shown in main balance, if you calls any number, the balance will deducts from freebies only not in main balance.

    2. Rs.55 TOP UP will gives 45 days validity from date of recharge, You already have a validity upto 12th month of 2013, so it is not extended from recharge date.

  33. I have purchased new bsnal sim 10 day before and around 8 days before got message in alternate no. that to activate this sim i have to call 1507.
    But I am calling 1507 from last 7 days and it is always shows busy. WTF. I have called atleast 500 times but no result. I called in morning. After noon, evening, late night, and even at 3 AM
    But it always busy. What the fukc man. BSNL really sucks. I am really very frustrated. If today again I got busy tone then I will scrap this fckng bsnl sim. God save BSNL users from this crap services.

  38. I have ported my vodafone number to BSNL Haryana at BSNL Gurgaon office. There are signal showing on new BSNL SIM card. The televerification was done over by some BSNL official from Gurgaon office prior to activation/porting. As per you advice that port-in numbers are not required for 1507 calling, I went ahead and recharged with Rs.42 plan but still when I check *123# it says "Network problem. Please try again after sometime." please advise.

      For MNP connection, BSNL official will calls as TeleVerification, before sending to activation for Porting, After TeleVerification, it usually takes 2-3 working days for porting.

    3. If you inserted the SIM in Mobile before activation, it shows like as Non Activated upto Reinsertion, so remove the SIM and reinsert and check whether you are getting the signal or not, even you are not getting the signals after reinsertion, approach concerned area office for activation.

  46. Hi, I got BSNL 3G sim (ported from reliance CDMA to BSNL GSM) and it got activated yesterday night. I am now able to make local calls, but not STD. Called customer care (1503) and they keep telling me to call 1507 for address verification. But I am not able to dial 1507, it says number doesn't exist. Can someone suggest what next to do?

    1. After activation of SIM card, there is no need for address verification, so approach nearest BSNL office and check whether the STD calls are barred or not, if not barred, reset your mobile call settings and barring settings.

  47. Hi, I've finished televerification on the newly taken number 9449161305 on 14th Nov. I was told by the customer support agent that it'll be activated within three hours, but I am yet to get it activated. I thought it's because of zero balance, so I recharged twice using BSNL portal (http://portal.bsnl.in/RC1/aspxfiles/instarecharge.aspx#PLAN-SUB), first with 'General Top-up" option of Rs.55 and again with STV Name:2G/3G VOICE_21. I still don't see my phone activated.

  48. I had applied for conversion of my phone number 94629-03458 from pre-paid to post paid plan on 09/11/2013. After many calls to customer care centre and personally visiting BSNL Office Bajaj Nagar, Jaipur, incoming / outgoing calls have been started on 19/11/2013 but internet is not on. I have also discussed on 19/11/13 to Customer Care and he has intimated that televerification (1507) is required. When I dial 1507 a message appears that "All international calls are barred. Please contact customer care centre". Is there any alternative option for verification. This indicates that BSNL is taking too much time to activate the phones therefore its customer base may dimnish. Very poor service.

  49. I was using BSNL in a normal Sim. on 22nd November I changed to a Micro SIM after 24 hours signal has come but i am not able to call 1507 for televerification. I was told by 1503 I would get a call from them on my landline but no such call. I am not able to dial1507 as the message I get is "not registered in network" Pls help as I need mobile services urgently. even 1503does not answer alls after 6 pm...

  62. Hi, I purchase new BSNL 2G sim card for Rs. 70 from vendor. He taken my document (Adhar Card and Photo) and said it takes 2-4 days for activation. He said I got call on my alternate no. for mobile verification but till now for 4 days I have not got any call or any assistance. Vendor even told me not to put the sim card in phone. Today I place my sim card in my smart Phone. Its not showing any signal. If I ring on the BSNL card, it says "Its temporary out of service". I think I got cheated. Please suggest.

    1. If the data entered in BSNL database, it will takes only 3-4 hrs for activation(with televerification) time, so approach that retailer and give him a strong stroke

    1. For porting connection, 1507 may not be required, and also 1507 not gets connected from out of home circle. if your mobile number completes the porting process, then recharge with main balance from online or any retailer, so that you can get incoming calls and outgoing calls in Roaming

  71. Hello...3 weeks ago I took a bsnl sim-8991729093482372082 it is not activated till now...i can't call 1503 from this sim...it is says that "out going calls are are not allowed". I tried calling from another bsnl sim but the customer care executive is busy...it happened 2-3 times for more than 5 mins....What can be done for activating the new sim..?

    1. Reinsert the SIM in your mobile again and check the status. After activation also, the contacts which are stored in SIM does not gets back to you with new SIM

  75. I've baught a new bsl sim. It's been around a month..i've tried 1507 for over a million times..
    But it still says not registered on network..
    And my retailer says bhaiya gi aap k documents toh bhej diye hai..
    1507 pe karo call..
    I checked with the local exchange also they say ki usi retailer se poocho..
    Now.. i am in a real problem..
    Na number ho ra hai activate ..nd upar se tension k vo id proof and photos gaye toh kha gaye...
    Please help ...

    1. 1. First replace your SIM in another mobile and check.
      2. If the data entered in BSNL Database by franchisee, then it will automatically activates with in 2 hrs, it means your application didn't reached/misplaced by retailer/franchisee. so, at first approach BSNL CSC/Franchisee and enquire, whether the data entered or not, if entered ask for reason of non activation, if not entered ask retailer/franchisee for activation of same.
